Adds the Amazon-style “bought together” block to your product pages: two or three products, the saving, and one button that adds them all. The discount is a real PrestaShop cart rule, so it disappears on its own if the customer breaks up the bundle.
The customer is already looking at the coffee pot. It is the one moment in the day when ground coffee and a matching cup sound like a good idea — and it is exactly the moment most shops offer them nothing.
BundleBoost puts a block under the add-to-cart button with the product they are looking at plus one or two more, the total crossed out, the bundle price, and a button that adds the lot in one go. It is the block that made Amazon billions, and PrestaShop still does not ship it.
The easy way to build this is to work the discount out when the button is pressed and drop it into the cart. The trouble shows up later: the customer opens the cart, removes one of the three products… and keeps the bundle price without the bundle.
BundleBoost creates a PrestaShop cart rule for every bundle, conditional on all of its products being there. PrestaShop applies it and removes it, not the module. Break up the bundle and the discount goes with it, with nobody watching the cart.
A badly configured 10% discount in PrestaShop applies to the whole cart. A customer with €300 in the cart who adds a €20 bundle would walk off with €30 off instead of €2.
Here the rule is set to discount only the bundle products. The rest of the cart is left alone.
Every product in the block has a checkbox, because maybe they already own the cup. But the bundle discount needs the whole bundle.
The moment something is unticked, the block stops showing the reduced price and explains in one line that the discount needs all of them. The alternative — keeping the bundle price on screen — is that they reach the cart, see a different number, and leave.
Type “coffee pot”, click the product. Type “coffee”, click. Set the discount. Save.
No copying product ids, no dropdown with all three thousand items in the shop, no tabs. It is the complaint that comes up most in the reviews of this category.
Every PrestaShop theme puts its hooks where it likes and none of them has all of them. BundleBoost hooks into eight at once, with a guard so the block is only drawn once, and then moves it right under the add-to-cart button.
So there is no template to edit and no snippet to paste anywhere: install it and it turns up where it should.
Delete a product that was in a bundle and the bundle rebuilds itself from what is left, or goes if nothing is left — and its cart rule goes with it.
It is the sort of detail you only notice months in: orphan cart rules pile up under Catalog and nobody knows where they came from or whether they are safe to touch.
