Offer Countdown — Discount countdown timer for PrestaShop
Shows a live countdown to the end of every discount. It reads the promotions you already have: nothing to configure product by product.
A discount with no visible deadline is a discount with no urgency. The customer thinks “I’ll come back later”, and most of the time they don’t.
Offer Countdown puts a clock on the promotion: “Offer ends in 2 days 07:41:09”, actually ticking, right below the buy button. What was just a lower price becomes a decision to make now.
And there is nothing to register again anywhere: the module reads the dates you already have in your specific prices and catalog price rules. Install it, switch it on, and it starts working with the promotions you already had.
The module in action
Nothing to register
The module keeps no product list to maintain. When someone opens a product page, it asks PrestaShop which price applies to that visitor — their customer group, their country, their currency — and checks whether that promotion has an end date. If it does, it shows it.
That means it works the same for a discount set by hand on one product and for a price rule covering a whole category.
The clock is right even if the customer’s is wrong
The countdown is not calculated from the customer’s computer clock, but from the seconds sent by the server. If someone has the wrong time set, or is in another country in another time zone, they still see the correct remaining time.
Very long offers are not shown
A three month countdown creates no urgency at all — quite the opposite, it makes clear there is no rush. That is why the module hides promotions ending more than 30 days from now. The limit is configurable, and setting it to 0 shows them all.
The final hours, in red
When less than a day is left — or whatever you decide — the boxes switch to the “running out” colour. The change happens on the customer’s own screen, without reloading, if they stay on the page for a while.
What happens at zero
You can choose between the countdown simply disappearing, or the page reloading. Reloading is the honest option, because the price has already changed on the server and the customer would be looking at one that no longer exists; but reloading someone’s page out of the blue is also annoying. Your call.
No maintenance, no dependencies
It creates no tables, stores no customer data, and needs no cron jobs or external services. Compatible from PrestaShop 1.7 up to 9.
